The Peeky Peely Sprite is a collector's radar with a catch. While equipped, it marks nearby rare Sprite variants and enemies who are carrying them — perfect for hunting the finishes you are still missing. The trade-off is that it reveals your own location at the same time, so every scan is a calculated risk: you see them, they see you.
Peeky Peely joined as a Legendary Sprite in the v41.30 update on July 30, 2026. Most players search for it as the Peely Sprite, but Epic's update notes use the full Peeky Peely name — a fitting label for a banana that cannot stop peeking.
How to Get the Peely Sprite
It rolls from Sprite Chests and regular chests across the map, with no published drop rates yet. The best time to hunt is during Peeky Peely Hours, running July 30 through August 5, 2026: from 4-5 PM ET and again from 11 PM-12 AM ET, Peeky Peely and its variants appear more often across the island. As always, extract every find — at an Extraction Site, with a Portable Extractor, or by winning — or it never counts.
Every Peeky Peely Variant
Five finishes are live from day one: Normal, Gold (3x bonus Sprite XP from eliminations), Gummy (+20% Sprite Dust on extraction), Galaxy (+30% more ammo on pickup), and a day-one Holofoil that gives your whole squad a chance to find rare Sprites from containers. That Holofoil made Peeky Peely one of eleven Sprites with a live Holofoil finish. None of the rates are published yet.
Is the Peely Sprite Worth Chasing?
For variant hunters, absolutely — a companion that points you at rare variants is the most on-theme tool a completionist can carry, and its own Holofoil doubles down on that identity. Just play the reveal honestly: scanning near a contested POI hands out your position, so equip it when you are farming finishes, not when you are trying to win quietly.
