What's New in Fortnite Sprites
Every new Sprite, variant and event — logged the day it drops. Epic adds new Sprites most Thursdays, so check back weekly. There are currently 11 Sprites across 33 released variants. Track them on the Sprite Checklist.
-
New Sprite Day: the full Cheat Master set enters regular loot at 9 AM ET
- New Sprite Day begins August 27 at 9 AM ET / 6 AM PT. Cheat Master Klombo, Shadow, Jackrabbit, and Killswitch are the final four Override variants scheduled to become obtainable.
- Cheat Master Bush, Jonesy, 8-Bit, Adventure, Sonic, and Tails are also moving from lobby cheat-code unlocks into the regular match loot pool.
- The verified checklist remains 11 released Sprites and 33 Normal, Gold, and Cheat Master rows. No new base Sprite was added in this reset.
- Drop rates are still unpublished, so the site continues to show unknown odds rather than treating directory 0% placeholders as real rates. Storm Scout remains outside completion until its in-game release is verified.
-
Sprite Garden guide + full Season 4 sprite guides
- New guide: the Sprite Garden — everything Epic has confirmed about your collection’s permanent island home, with an honest note on the entry path still being verified.
- Every verified Season 4 Sprite now has a full guide: ability breakdown, how to get it, all three variants, and whether it’s worth using — from Bush to Klombo and Crown.
- New deep-dives for the Cheat Master and Gold variants, including how the Cheat Code bonus works and how Gold’s elimination XP stacks with leveling.
- Season labels are now clearer across variant pages, so Season 4 content and the Season 3 archive are impossible to mix up.
- Day-1 roster re-verified against the live directory on August 21: 11 Sprites × 3 variants live, Storm Scout still unreleased, drop rates still unpublished — no data changes.
-
Season 4 Override is live — a fresh collection begins
- The live checklist has moved to Chapter 7 Season 4 Override with 11 verified Sprites and 33 released Normal, Gold, and Cheat Master rows.
- Bush, Adventure, Jonesy, 8-Bit, Shadow, Tails, Killswitch, Sonic, Jackrabbit, Klombo, and Crown are available in the launch roster.
- Storm Scout is visible in directory data but is not yet independently confirmed in-game, so it remains outside the checklist total and completion percentage.
- Season 3 progress is preserved in its own editable checklist. Old share links route there automatically, while new Season 4 codes use a separate versioned roster.
- Season 4 drop rates are not published yet; the site shows a clear unpublished state instead of displaying 0% placeholders.
-
Official: your Sprites survive Season 4 — a new generation arrives with 'Override'
- Epic confirmed the season transition plan: Season 3 Sprites are preserved permanently in the new Sprite Garden (a personal island for your collection), on the Collection page, as Mastery Pod Back Bling styles, and as Guardian Outfit pilots — but they retire from Battle Royale matches.
- Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override" launches August 20 with "a whole new generation of Sprites to collect and master — including new powers and variants." The five Design-A-Sprite contest winners are in: Bullet, Dumpster Dive, Honey, X-Ray, and Pond.
- Sprite Dust and Gizmos reset to zero at season end ("seasonal housekeeping") — spend them before August 19. Summons are free during Sprite Spree Week anyway.
- The Season End guide has been updated with everything confirmed so far. This checklist tracks the new Override roster from day one — and every Season 3 share code keeps decoding forever.
-
Sprite Spree Week is live — and the season ends Wednesday
- The end-of-season Sprite Spree Week event started August 14: summoning Sprites is free (no Sprite Dust cost) and Sprite XP is doubled, with an extra 2x from standing near a lit Cozy Campfire. Best mastery-farming window of the season.
- Chapter 7 Season 3 "Runners" ends August 19. What happens to your collection in Season 4? We wrote up everything we know — the history, the realistic outcomes, and the last-chance chases — in the new Season End guide.
- Roster verified against fortnite.gg on August 16: no changes — still 117 released variants across 25 Sprites. Only Gem Punk remains unreleased.
- Whatever v42.00 brings, this site updates day one — and every Season 3 share code will keep decoding forever.
-
The Gem wave: six new Gems live, Ironmouse and Gem Grim Reaper are back
- The six pre-priced Gem variants released together — Gem Water and Gem Earth (0.37%), Gem Duck and Gem Demon (0.1%), Gem Aura (0.08%) and the absurd 0.00001% Gem Zero Point, now the rarest drop in the game by an order of magnitude. Only Gem Punk remains unreleased.
- Epic re-enabled both July 30 pulls: Ironmouse returns at its pre-published 2.14% base rate and Gem Grim Reaper at 0.00099%. The collection grows from 109 to 117 released variants across 25 Sprites.
- Every new rate matches the pre-published table exactly — no surprises, verified against fortnite.gg on August 7.
- Share codes now stamp V7; every older code keeps decoding against its frozen order.
- Season countdown: Runners ends August 19 — under two weeks left to chase the new Gems.
-
Drop rates rebuilt again; Ironmouse and Gem Grim Reaper pulled back
- Epic disabled Ironmouse and the Gem Grim Reaper at 2 PM ET on July 30 — just hours after their surprise release — so the collection returns to 109 released variants across 24 Sprites. Both are now listed as upcoming with pre-published rates (Ironmouse 2.14%, Gem Grim Reaper 0.00099%), so expect them back.
- fortnite.gg republished the entire drop-rate table for the third time: base rates fell across the board (Duck 9% → 6.48%, Dream 6.98% → 4.45%, Batman 2.23% → 1.44%) while special variants rose sharply (Ghost/King/Striker Holofoil are now 1.23%, Seven and Peeky Peely Holofoil 0.85%, Batman Holofoil 0.34%).
- Nearly every hidden rate is now published: all Lootin' Llama and Peeky Peely finishes, Pollo / Vini Jr. / Burnt Peanut at 2.14%, every Cube (Batman 0.02% up to Earth/Fire/Fishy 0.21%), and Grim Reaper's Gold/Gummy/Galaxy at 0.01%. Curiously, Zero Point's base rate went unpublished — its rarest published finish is now the 0.000014% Cube.
- We verified the new table is steady-state (identical outside all event windows since July 31) before ingesting it. Share codes now stamp V6; every older code keeps decoding.
- Season countdown: Runners ends August 19 — Peeky Peely Hours run through August 5.
-
v41.30: four new Sprites and the Quack tier — 91 to 111 variants
- Four new Sprites join the roster: Lootin' Llama (Legendary — opening Ammo Boxes can upgrade your weapon, with a day-one Gem), Peeky Peely (Legendary — marks nearby rare Sprite variants and their carriers but reveals you too, day-one Holofoil), Ironmouse (Mythic collab, ability being confirmed in-game) and John Wick (Mythic — a Reload-mode pickup that reveals nearby enemies after a knock or elimination; once claimed there you can equip it in Battle Royale).
- The Quack tier is official: unlock it through Sprite Mastery Part 4 for Water, Earth, Fire and Zero Point. Quack bonus: every other Sprite you carry gains an extra 50% of your Quack Sprite’s level progress.
- Zero Point's Holofoil and Cube plus Grim Reaper's Gem and Holofoil also went live — the collection grows from 91 to 111 released variants across 25 Sprites, and share codes now stamp V5 (old codes keep decoding).
- Gem drop rates are pre-published for the six pending Gems (Water/Earth 0.37%, Duck/Demon 0.1%, Aura 0.08%, Zero Point 0.00001%) and Cube rates arrived for Earth/Fire/Fishy (0.25%). Punk's Gem icon is back in the files but still unreleased.
- Events: Peeky Peely Hours run July 30 – August 5 (boosted Peely spawns 4-5 PM and 11 PM-12 AM ET); Web Shooter Hours on August 1 bring boosted Cube spawns and keep the Sprite Hunt Rift Anomaly active.
-
Summon costs cut across the board
- Base summon costs dropped ~10% in the July 24 hotfix: Epic 3,000 → 2,700, Legendary 5,000 → 4,500, Mythic 7,500 → 6,750 Sprite Dust. Fishy and Air fell from 2,000 to 1,800; the elemental Rares (Water, Earth, Fire) stay at 100.
- Special-variant summons were cut even deeper: Rare 4,000 → 2,700, Epic 6,000 → 4,000, Legendary 10,000 → 6,750, Mythic 15,000 → 10,000.
- Leak watch: Gem Punk and Holofoil Zero Point lost their datamined icons on fortnite.gg (placeholder art again), so they leave the pending list. Gem remains confirmed for Water, Earth, Duck, Demon, Aura and Zero Point, plus Quack Zero Point.
- Roster re-verified against fortnite.gg on July 25: still 21 Sprites / 91 released variants, every published drop rate unchanged, Cube rates still unlisted. Shinier Hours ran two 2× Sprite XP windows on July 25.
-
Cube variants go live for eight Sprites
- Cube variants released for Earth, Fire, Dream, Punk, Fishy, Boss, Grim Reaper and Batman — the collection grows from 83 to 91 released variants.
- Cube is the official name for the tier previously leaked as "Rift" (same art) — the Rift page now lives at /variants/cube.
- Cube bonus: grants the Overdrive effect while you are in the Storm. Cube drop rates are not published yet.
- Pollo now spawns from regular chest loot too, and Epic confirmed its ability: eliminations slowly restore Shield for you and nearby teammates.
- Leak watch: a "Quack" tier appeared in the files (Zero Point has real art). John Wick is still upcoming.
-
Drop rates republished + Sprite event weekend
- fortnite.gg republished the full drop-rate table on a new basis — every published rate updated (e.g. Duck 9%, Galaxy Zero Point 0.000016%); Rare base Sprites, Grim Reaper specials and Burnt Peanut no longer list a rate.
- Batman, Air and Seven rates are now published, including all five day-one Holofoil rates (0.25% Rare / 0.06% Epic / 0.05% Legendary / 0.01% Batman).
- Sprite events announced: Shiny Hours (Jul 18, boosted Special-variant spawn rates), Striker Hour (Jul 19) and Mastery Mondays (Jul 20, faster Sprite upgrades).
- No new Sprites this week — the roster holds at 21 Sprites / 83 released variants; John Wick is still upcoming.
-

- Air (Rare), Seven (Legendary) and Batman (Mythic) released — each with Normal, Gold, Gummy, Galaxy AND day-one Holofoil variants.

- The collection total jumps from 66 to 83 released variants; only John Wick remains upcoming.
