What the Morgana Sprite Does in Season 4

The Morgana Sprite is an Epic-rarity Sprite in Chapter 7 Season 4 "Override", and it is a crossover: Morgana is the cat from Persona 5. It went live on Thursday, September 24, 2026, with all five of its forms at once, joining Shadow, Tails, Sonic, Pond and Dumpster Dive in the Epic tier. Where those Sprites help you move or fight, Morgana is a support pick built entirely around healing.

The ability text in the fortnite.gg Sprite directory reads: "Increases the effectiveness of healing items. Healing effectiveness increases with each Level Up!" Morgana has no effect until you use a healing item; then it makes that heal go further, and more so as the Sprite levels up. Epic has not published exact per-level figures, and the percentages some sites list are unverified, so no numbers are given here.

How to Get the Morgana Sprite

Morgana went live on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET daily Sprite reset, and we verified it in the fortnite.gg Sprite directory the same morning. The Morgana Sprite had been in the game files since v42.20 on September 17, but Epic's v42.20 notes never mentioned it and Epic never announced a date. It went live with the September 24 update, which Beebom describes as a hotfix; the patch number is still v42.20. The directory lists no spawn location, so your best routes are roaming the island, opening chests and running Cheat Codes.

Epic reworked Cheat Codes in v42.20. Any Rare (blue) or Epic (purple) code can drop a Sprite of any rarity, Epic codes have significantly higher chances of variants and higher-rarity Sprites, and Legendary (orange) codes are guaranteed to drop a variant Sprite. Epic also improved Sprite hunting odds: the longer you go without a new Sprite, the better your chances of a variant you don't already own. Whatever the route, extract Morgana before the match ends or it does not count. Epic has not published Season 4 drop rates, so Morgana's rate column stays honestly blank.

Morgana Sprite Variants: Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker and Bounty Hunter

Unlike Pond, Blinky and Crash Bandicoot, which waited a week for their Bounty Hunter forms, Morgana went live with all five on day one: Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker and Bounty Hunter. Each is its own row on the checklist with the same healing-item ability. Gold Morgana grants 3× bonus Sprite XP from eliminations, which matters because the healing boost grows with each level. Cheat Master Morgana makes every Cheat Code input count as correct. Loot Hacker Morgana increases the chances of items spawning from your Loot Hacks, and the "Loot Hacker Sprite Variant" Loot Hack, from 500 Sprite Dust, adds random Loot Hacker Sprites to your chest drops, though you cannot pick Morgana.

Bounty Hunter Morgana went live on September 24, the date Epic's v42.20 notes gave for the Bounty Hunter line. In Epic's words: "These combat-hungry Sprites have a chance to appear when you eliminate opponents, leveling up only from eliminations." This form keeps the same healing-item boost, but it only levels up as you rack up eliminations. Eliminating opponents is the only route Epic has confirmed. The free Sprite Checklist tracks all six Morgana rows separately: the first five have counted toward your Season 4 completion since September 24, and Trick or Treat Morgana since October 8.

Is the Morgana Sprite Worth Using?

The fair comparison is Jonesy, the Rare Sprite that also heals. Jonesy recovers some of your Health or Shield a short time after you take damage, and the amount increases with each level. It needs nothing from your inventory, which is why it suits newer players and anyone who would rather not stop to heal between fights. Morgana works the other way round: it only boosts the healing items you use. Jonesy tops you up on its own schedule; Morgana makes the heals you choose to spend count for more.

That makes the Morgana Sprite the better pick for players who loot heals, carry a stack of them and heal deliberately, especially late in a match. It also pairs well with Onigiri, which applies Overdrive after you eat or drink a consumable, so a single heal can patch you up and get you moving. The trade-off is the one every conditional Sprite carries: with no healing items in your inventory, Morgana adds nothing, and a fresh one gives a smaller boost than a leveled one. If your matches already run on heals, extract Morgana when you see it, level it, and let every heal go further.

Trick or Treat Variant: Live

Trick or Treat Morgana went live on October 8, 2026, a week after v42.30 added its icon, so all six forms are now live: Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, Bounty Hunter, and Trick or Treat. The checklist counts it toward your completion total. The Sprite directory has not published a separate Trick or Treat bonus yet, so treat the base ability as the only confirmed effect.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Morgana Sprite do in Fortnite?

It increases the effectiveness of healing items, and the boost grows with each Level Up. Epic has not published exact per-level figures, so no percentages are listed here.

When was Morgana released in Fortnite?

Thursday, September 24, 2026, with all five forms at once. It had been in the game files since v42.20 on September 17, but Epic's v42.20 notes never mentioned it and Epic never announced a date.

Where do I find Morgana in Season 4?

The Sprite directory lists no spawn location for it. Sprites can appear roaming the island, in chests and from Cheat Codes. Since v42.20, any Rare or Epic Cheat Code can drop a Sprite of any rarity. Extract it before the match ends or it does not count.

Is there a Gold or Bounty Hunter Morgana?

Yes. Normal, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker and Bounty Hunter Morgana all went live on September 24. Gold grants 3× bonus Sprite XP from eliminations. Bounty Hunter Morgana has a chance to appear when you eliminate opponents and gains Sprite XP only from eliminations. Every form keeps the same healing-item boost.

What is Morgana's drop rate?

Not published. Epic has released no Season 4 drop rates, and the 0% shown in the Sprite directory is a placeholder, not a real rate. This page shows a verified empty state instead of an estimate and adds real numbers the day they are published.

What rarity is the Morgana Sprite?

Epic, the same tier as Shadow, Tails, Sonic, Pond, Dumpster Dive and Honey. It is the only Sprite in that tier built around healing.
