Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-06-28. In short: your collection stays on your device, and we don't collect personal information.
Your collection data
The Sprite Checklist works without an account. The Sprites you mark as collected or mastered are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device — they are never uploaded to a server or tied to your identity. Clearing your browser data, or using a different device, will reset your progress unless you carry it over yourself with a share link or backup code.
Share links and backup codes
Share links and backup codes encode only which Sprites are checked off, in an anonymous, compressed form. They contain no personal information. Anyone you send a link to can view that collection; only share it if you are comfortable with that.
Analytics
We use a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics tool (Plausible) to understand aggregate traffic — for example, how many people visit a page. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other sites, and does not collect personal data, which is why you won't see a cookie banner. We may record anonymous events such as a PWA install, with no personal identifiers.
Third-party content
Pages may embed a YouTube video and load web fonts from Google Fonts. When you play an embedded video, YouTube may set its own cookies under its privacy policy. We do not run advertising and do not sell any data.
Children
This is a fan-made tool with no sign-up and no personal-data collection. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
